The Villages and Rainey Construction are currently working on a roadway improvement project along CR 470 at the Florida Turnpike Interchange in Lake County.
As part of this project, the existing two-lane rural roadway is being widened to a four-lane urban roadway. This work also requires the reconstruction and widening of the existing Meggison Road intersection.
To expedite construction and minimize the overall impact to the traveling public, the Meggison Road intersection will be temporarily closed from November 30 through December 18.
During this time, a designated detour route will be in place to help motorists and Villages residents safely navigate around the intersection while construction is underway.
We understand that this temporary closure may cause some inconvenience, and we appreciate your patience and cooperation as we work to complete these improvements. Every effort will be made to finish the work as quickly and safely as possible and reopen the intersection as scheduled.
