The City of Wildwood is seeking additional public input on the development of a bicycle and pedestrian master plan.
“We are in the second phase of our project,” said Parks and Recreation Director Courtney Kellem. “After gathering initial input last fall, we have some proposed recommendations to share. Now it is essential we hear what people think before we finalize anything.”
The recommendations can be found at https://tinyurl.com/WWBikePedPlan2026. Feedback can be provided through the interactive map on the website until the end of August. A follow-up public meeting is planned for early fall.
“It’s critical that whatever we construct works well for most people, especially the people using it most,” Kellem said. “This is truly a project for the community, by the community.”
The city’s consulting engineers, Kimley-Horn, anticipate presenting the master plan to the city commission by the end of 2026.
More information can be found on the project website or by visiting the Wildwood Community Center at 6500 Powell Road. The public also may call 352-461-0134 to speak with a parks and recreation staff member.
