Water and sewer rates are established by the governing board for each utility:
These rate structures help ensure the continued success of the utilities by providing funding that allows the utility to meet its legal and water obligations.

For Utilities billing assistance, please contact one of our District Customer Service Centers, Monday through Friday from 8am – 5pm.
Amenity charges are contractual charges billed monthly in advance as part of the combined bill that is sent by VCDD Utilities.
The contractual amenity fees provide funding for The Villages Public Safety, Community Watch, recreation centers, pools and services, gate and postal station facility maintenance, water retention areas, Village Center Community Development common areas, Sumter Landing Community Development common areas and the executive golf course operations and maintenance.
The contractual agreement does provide for the amenity fee to be adjusted by the increase/decrease in the Consumer Price Index (CPI).
The Consumer Price Index is reported monthly by the US Department of Labor, Bureau of Statistics and measures inflation as experienced by consumers in the day to day living expenses.
This adjustment is based upon the provisions found in each individual homeowner’s deed covenant. Generally, the adjustment anniversary date is the Original Land Sale Date, thus your adjustment may not occur at the same time as your neighbors.
To view a copy of your Covenant, visit our Community Standards page and search by County, District and Unit Number in the Declaration of Restrictions section.
