Amenity Authority Committee Landowner Elections 2010
The Amenity Authority Committee (AAC), as a committee of the Village Center Community Development District (VCCDD), advises the VCCDD on matters relating to Amenity Facilities, Amenity Fees and services relating to Amenity Facilities and Amenity Fees.
Amenity Authority Committee members are elected by landowners of their respective Districts.
AAC Landowner Elections will be held Tuesday, November 2, 2010 for the following:
For Districts #1 and #2, candidates ran unopposed and therefore an election will not be held. AAC Landowner Elections for District # 3 and District #4 will be held in 2012.
Amenity Authority Committee Landowner Elections
The AAC election is a separate landowner election from the general election. A landowner election is an election when landowners have only one vote per acre or portion thereof for each platted lot or unplatted area owned and located within the boundaries of the Village Community Development District. This means if 3 persons are named on the deed, only one vote is allowed per property.
For the 2010 AAC Election, landowners may vote in person on AAC election day or by completing an application to request an AAC absentee ballot.
AAC Absentee Ballots
To receive a 2010 AAC absentee ballot an application request must be completed and submitted, in advance, to the District. Applications to request an AAC Absentee Ballot are available and may be obtained in any of the following ways:
- Download an AAC application form from the District’s website www.DistrictGov.org by clicking on this link Application for AAC Absentee Voting
- Visit District Customer Service at 3201 Wedgewood Lane to pick up an application,
- Pick up an application from any District Office or Regional Recreation Center, or
- Call the District Clerk at 352-751-6700 and request an application be mailed.
The District will only mail applications through Monday, October 18, 2010 at 5:00 p.m. EST to insure delivery in order to meet election deadlines. Tuesday, October 19, 2010 through Friday, October 29, 2010 at 5:00 PM EST AAC voters shall be required to bring in person, their application to the Village Community Development District Administrative Office, 1894 Laurel Manor Drive, The Villages, in order to insure you receive an AAC absentee ballot.
AAC absentee ballots will be mailed out by the District from Monday, October 4, 2010 through Monday, October 25, 2010 5:00 PM EST to those who have submitted an application to the Village Community Development District Administrative Office, 1894 Laurel Manor Drive. Tuesday, October 26, 2010 through Friday, October 29, 2010 at 5:00 PM EST AAC absentee ballots may be picked up at the Village Community Development District Administrative Office.
The deadline to pick up an AAC absentee ballot is Friday, October 29, 2010 at 5:00 p.m. EST
Return of your AAC application and AAC absentee ballot is the responsibility of the AAC voter. If mailing any document, please allow enough time for delivery and insure proper postage.

Requirements to Vote
AAC Landowner elections require voters to be the landowner of the property and present their Villages Resident Identification or if you do not have a Villages Resident Identification bring proof of ownership of the property (i.e., deed, tax bill, closing statement, trust, etc.) and your photo Identification.
